We start off the morning at 7:45am to get to Jasper in the afternoon. The view was amazing, seeing the tallest mountain on the Canadian side of the border. We take some amusing pictures with a fake moose at the visitor centre and was lucky to see a bear on the side of the road as part of the trip.
White water rafting was organised at 1:30pm and we get there just before to get a sandwich. The river was a grade 3 and I was so keen to go up the front of a raft because I know that is the best way to hit the river. It was good fun, at one stage we had to get out and take the rafts around a waterfall. That was the half way point, where we swapped over the front seat to give others a go, up the back still wasn't to bad.
That night was going to be a big one at the hotel, dinner was first at a pub down the road. The hotel pub was great value, and the word on everyone's mouth was Beaver Licker's. They are a shot, half butterscotch and half maple whiskey. They were so good, real easy to drink and rounds were two at a time. Good fun and I crashed around 2am, struggling to walk straight.
