We leave pretty late today as Calgary is only 1 ½ hours drive from Banff. We were given $12 each back to buy ingredients for breakfast in Banff, a huge breakfast is cooked up with everything left over. Arriving in Calgary at around 1pm, I get a bit of lunch and have a couple of beers. Dan and I went in search for more ingredients of Beaver Licker's and thought we found them. Turned out I bought 2 bottles of rye whiskey branded Maple, oh well, I attempted to fix it by adding maple syrup to it. Didn't turn out to bad, smooth with a little bit of a kick as it hit the chest.
That evening, I tried contacting Rory and Tara but things didn't enable us to catch up which is a major bummer. That night was at Ranchmens, an establishment across the road from the hotel. It was huge, we went to the tent at the back as it had several sections. The ice buckets full of beer was a great idea, saving heaps of time instead of lining up at the bar. The country band was good fun and everyone seemed to have a good night, getting back after 2am.
