Up at 5:15am to catch the 6am bus down the road. We have to travel all the way back to Mexico City, before heading to our next destination, Oaxaca. Our bus got moved to 6:30am but we made up heaps of time to arrive back in Mexico around 9am. We catch a taxi over to another bus station to find out that all the bus's are booked out, we need to upgrade and wait until 1pm was our only option.
After a few hours in the food court, mainly surfing the internet, we get on the bus. For an upgrade, I think our first bus to Taxco was nicer. We arrive at the hotel around 7pm, check in and get out ready to look around. Today is the first day of the holiday week in Mexico, this place is absolutely packed with markets and people.
After a little walk and some searching we arrive at a roof top restaraunt for dinner. A lasange and a few beers were mighty tasty before we got to enjoy the celebrations. Fireworks went off, the bands were playing and all the streets were filled with people. It was a special night for the Mexicans, the first night of Guelaguetza.
