Welcome To Scotland

Off at 8:30am, and I didn't think I would need to set my alarm. Waking up 10 minutes before the bus was leaving, a quick shower and out the door but it was great to have a good 7-8 hours sleep. The first stop was Gretna Green, it is famous for weddings like Las Vegas but it is allot older. The group picture was taken and we had a mock wedding between Peter from Canada and Jackie from America. They made many promises while trying to keep a straight face, I certainly liked the Idea of 10 litres of Whisky being purchased each week as one promise.

Next stop was a Fort with a fantastic view and backs onto a wall that goes from one side of England to the other side. It was created to keep the Scottish out during some pretty nasty wars.

We have a free day tomorrow, which means a big night out tonight. Start off at contiki organised option dinner, some traditional Scottish tucker and a guy on the bag pipes. At 2 pound a pint, I didn't want to leave, yet dragged myself away to the see next pub down on the grass mile.

A decent sized pub with a guy playing live music. A few pints to get to know some new people and reunite with Rory before moving onto a club of 5 levels. It started off quiet, then around 1pm a couple of pub crawls ended at our destination, it livened right up and filled up a couple of floors. The night ended with 6 of us leaving last to arrive at the hotel around 4am.
