Cairo Day 2

Bit disappointing that the Alexandra tour wasn't available so I joined some fellow travellers on a look around Cairo,

We headed down to the metro trains where the first Stop was Sedat Station on the Giza line. Getting out, we kind of wondered in the general direction of the Nile, crossing a couple of bridges and taking random photos. A fellow was rather keen to get us into his store, promising us directions to a popular market nearby, he drove in front of us a couple of times just to try convincing us, eventually he gave up.

Eventually we arrived at the Cairo Tower for a great view and a couple of quiet lagers. The views were gold and it was cool to see how close the pyramids were to the city. Seeing them up close tomorrow should be worthwhile.

A couple of hours later we got back onto the train towards Mary Girgus. It seemed like a district of churches with around 10 churches very close to each other. Viewed about 4 of them, St Georges church, virgin Mary, and the Hanging church were the ones I remember.

Now onto the start of the tour with a 7pm meeting with the group to meet our tour director.
