Luxor

Another early morning, up at 6am to be first at the Temple of Horus for the best photo opportunities. Only need to fight through until 8:30 where I can load up on breakfast and get some more sleep. The temple is in the best condition of all the temples so far, with most of the walls and structure still in place. Sand covered the temple for over 2000 years to preserve all the artefacts. Allot of the faces were scratched out when Catholics stayed in the temple during the Roman control of Egypt.

Arriving back at the boat, I slept until lunchtime before going for a read up on the deck At 5pm, a bus arrived to take us around luxor before seeing the Luxor temple at night. With all the items lit up, the place was full of mystery and wonder. A dodgy tourist police took me to a room to side for a picture and I had to pay him a buck to get my camera back. Seems that this place is always looking for a tip or something extra.

Dinner Back at the boat was good before heading out to a cafe at 10pm. A couple of lazy beers and I tried smoking a water pipe for the first time left me ready for a good sleep.
