London Premier League Game

I arrived into Heathrow hoping to hurry through to Ilford, drop off my bags and get on my way to Upton Park for the West Ham vs Manchester City soccer match. I got through customs, and got my bags with no trouble, then I decided to take the piccadilly train line into the city instead of the Heathrow express. The express was 18 pounds, the other gave me access to all trains for the day for 7.50 pounds.

I get onto the train, turn on my mobile and realised it was 2:30pm. Wow, only 1:30 to get to the hotel and across to the game, would be pushing it. A couple of changes through planned works and I arrive at the hotel by 4:30, I rush in, drop off the bags, and get a taxi ordered.

Turns out, I was still running on Egypt time, and we go straight into a traffic jam, I realise I didn't have my camera with 1:30 hours before the game. I get him to turn around and take me back to the hotel. I paid him 12 pound, with the promise I might call him again, then head down to the train station which would be heaps easier and less painful.

I arrived at the game with plenty of time, the atmosphere was electric, all the fans sing allot to fill in time and attack the other supporters. West Ham really love the anthem of the club, some thing about being in a bubble. A close contest with the final result, 1-1 draw. The west ham fans were ecstatic after such a bad season. They presented the awards and the players did a lap before heading back to the hotel. A few beers while watching Australia vs Sri Lanka in the 20-20 finished off the day well.
